Choosing the Right Wash for Your Home
"What's the difference between your washes?"

It's the question we get most, and it deserves a real answer, not a sales pitch toward whichever option costs more.

We offer more than one way to wash your siding and roof, because no single chemistry is right for every home. In plain terms, you're choosing between eco-friendly and bleach house wash options, and what's right for yours depends on what's actually growing on it, how long it's been there, and what matters most to you.
Â
Here's the honest version, so you can decide for yourself.

Choosing Between Eco-Friendly and Bleach House Wash:Â What Actually ChangesÂ
Renew Wash: gentle by formulation

For most homes, most of the time, we recommend Renew Wash. It uses sodium percarbonate, an oxygen-based cleaner, not chlorine bleach. The active ingredient releases hydrogen peroxide, the same compound in the brown bottle in your medicine cabinet, working on the same principle. It reacts with algae, mildew, and grime, oxidizes it, and lifts it off the surface so it rinses away clean. When it's finished reacting, it breaks back down into water and soda ash, the same soda ash used in baking and laundry, so it doesn't linger in your soil, your gutters, or the driveway your kids and pets will be back on that same afternoon.

One of the products in this tier carries EPA Safer Choice certification, a federal program that reviews every ingredient against strict human and environmental health standards. It's not a logo we bought. It's a certification the EPA grants and can revoke.

Within Renew Wash, there's also a stronger, still chlorine-free option for heavier buildup, for homes that need more than the standard treatment but don't need to move all the way up to Restore Wash. It costs a bit more, and it's applied with the same drain-protection care we use on our strongest wash.

The honest trade-off with Renew Wash overall: it works through dwell time, not brute force. It takes more hands-on effort and more time to get there, and the products themselves cost more too, which is part of why Renew Wash is priced higher than Restore Wash. That's not a weakness, it's the mechanism, and it's very effective once it's had the time to work.
Restore Wash: strength, handled responsibly

Some homes have buildup that's set in for years, algae deep in the siding, or roof staining that a gentler wash would need multiple visits to fully lift. For those situations, we offer Restore Wash, a faster, more efficient professional-grade clean that's effective on algae and organic buildup with far less dwell time.

We won't pretend this one is gentle. It's a genuinely aggressive oxidizer, and it doesn't distinguish between the algae on your siding and the plants beneath it. Left careless, that's yellowed grass along the drip line, fumes that irritate eyes and skin, and runoff heading for a storm drain that flows, untreated, into the nearest creek.

That's exactly why we treat every Restore Wash as a job that demands discipline, not speed. Before we ever turn the wand on, we pre-soak and rinse the landscaping around the work area. We dilute correctly for the specific surface being cleaned, never applying it straight. We cover the nearest storm drain so nothing reaches the storm system untreated. And a trained, insured operator manages the process from start to finish, not a helper left to figure it out. The risk you're reading about above is what happens when someone skips these steps. It's not what happens when we do the job.

Some homeowners choose Restore Wash simply because they want a quicker, more efficient clean, and they're comfortable with a stronger chemistry as long as it's handled the right way. That's a reasonable choice, and it's one we take seriously. The protection here doesn't come from what's in the tank. It comes from how we handle what's in the tank.

Why we offer more than one

Renew Wash protects your home by formulation. Restore Wash protects your home through how we apply it. Either way, your home and the world around us is protected.

We'll ask you, before any work starts, which option fits your home and what matters most to you. If you want the gentlest possible wash and you're comfortable with the extra time it takes, Renew Wash is the call. If your siding or roof needs real strength to get a full result without multiple visits, Restore Wash gets you there, handled the way it should be.
Â
What you're actually choosing

This is the honest version of the decision.

The cheapest operators reach for whatever's fastest, apply it the same way on every surface, and pass the real costs, to your landscaping, your home's finishes, and the water leaving your property, straight on to you.

We'd rather ask you what your home actually needs, explain the trade-offs plainly, and handle whichever option we use the way it deserves to be handled.
You're not paying us to be the fastest or the cheapest. You're paying us to treat your home like it's worth protecting.
